Shipping

Soma Cacao ships all orders from Far North Queensland, with Australia Post managing the delivery. 

Australia Posts provides us with the following shipping timeframes:

Standard Post:

  • For Queensland addresses, allow 2-6 business days; 
  • For Interstate addresses, allow 5-10 business days. 

Express Post:

  • For Queensland addresses, allow 2-4 business days;
  • For Interstate addresses, allow 3-5 business days. 

If you live in a remote area, please expect an extra 1-2 business days on top of the above estimated timeframes.

Please note: the above delivery timeframes do not account for our internal processing times. Kindly allow 1-2 business days for us to prepare your order.

A note on pricing:

Our shipping fees are based on Australia Post Business pricing (Band 5), and in many cases we actually charge less than what Australia Post charges us. This means shipping is often partially subsidised by our business.

Possible Delays

While we aim to deliver your order within the estimated timeframes, some delays are unavoidable. These may occur due to:

  • Severe weather events (e.g., floods, fires)
  • Road accidents impacting transit
  • Seasonal delays (e.g., during the Christmas period)

Unfortunately, Soma Cacao cannot take responsibility for delays caused by these factors.

If your parcel exceeds 5 business days for express post or 10 business days for standard post, please contact us at hello@somacao.com.au for assistance with tracking or resolving the issue.


Returns and Exchanges

We offer returns and exchanges on unopened and unused items within 30 days of delivery.

If you're returning or exchanging an item due to a change of mind, you’ll need to cover the return shipping cost. We're happy to help arrange this and can assist with selecting a suitable replacement if you're exchanging.

If the return or exchange is due to an error on our part (e.g. you received the wrong item, or the product is defective), we’ll cover the return shipping costs in full.

Refunds are generally processed within 5-10 business days from the date you ship the item back to us. This period accounts for:

  • Return shipping transit (5–10 business days)

  • Processing at our warehouse (1-2 business days)

  • Bank processing time for the refund (1-2 business days)


Damaged Orders

If your order arrives damaged, please notify the courier immediately and, if possible, reject the delivery. The package will be returned to us at no cost to you.

Additionally, contact us at hello@somacao.com.au to report the issue. Once we receive the damaged parcel, we will either issue a full refund or send you a replacement product.
